One of the Government’s key copyright initiative took as step forward today with the Launch of the first app based on its services.

The app is the first of over 100 that are apparently in development.

Whilst the developments and potential use of the hub are interesting, the investment in connecting rights holders with users will only be worthwhile if it result in significantly more licences are offered at a price the user is willing to pay.

Our vision for simpler, automated, licensing has taken its first step in public. We have launched our first Hub Application, and it can be used by anyone.

You can download a plug-in to your browser, right click on pictures you find online, and if it’s a picture the Hub knows about, you’ll be instantly connected to the copyright owner.
