He qualified as a solicitor in October 2009 and joined GSC at this time to specialise in International and Private Wealth. In November 2015 James was appointed as a Partner.
He has furthered his expertise and knowledge in this area by completing the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) diploma and is now a qualified Trust and Estates Practitioner.
James is an expert in advising on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate, Offshore Structuring, Tax and other private client matters. In particular James has developed substantial knowledge in dealing with matters where clients have assets located in multiple jurisdictions, especially for Pakistan and Indian clients that involve a detailed review of the double tax treaties between the countries.
James has arranged wills and lasting power of attorneys for a number of my clients and has consistently shown himself to be professional while also being sensitive to some of the emotional issues clients face in such circumstances.
