GSC’s tax investigations barrister, Tessa Lorimer, appeared on Sky News 12 April 2014 challenging the Chancellor’s announcement that “Wealthy British People Who Stash Their Money Offshore Could Face Prosecution”.  Lorimer, who spent over 20 years at the HMRC, argues that this is not going to be that simple because these prosecutions are “Complex, difficult to prove and costly”.  She said “the Crown Prosecution Service will have to be properly funded to prosecute…and the charged individuals are not necessarily guilty…This is not a straight forward issue.”
